I am very thankful for Fairwinds.  I grew up going to church on the buses on Sunday mornings.  Little did I know that those buses would play such an important part of my life and for so long.  As I grew up, I continued to come to Fairwinds, sometimes still on the bus.   Then God touched my stepfather, Harry.
Before God was done with him, he too was riding the bus on Sunday, more like driving the bus.  Harry told me that it was the buses at Fairwinds that kept coming to pick me and my sister, Trisha, up each Sunday and the two of us getting on them week after week that impressed on his heart that maybe he should be going too.  God touched his body and made that impression very real.  Harry started coming to Fairwinds, then started driving other boys and girls (Boys and girls a lot like me and my sister.) to church on Sundays.  Harry drove those buses until God touched him again.  Shortly there after God "drove his bus" and Harry got on for his final ride.  I miss him dearly.  I miss Fairwinds just as much.  I thank all of you for your kindness that you have shown to me and my family.  My mother, Pat, and my two sisters still go to Fairwinds and when I'm there visiting, I still come to Fairwinds.  There are very few familiar faces simply because the familiar faces have grown up, m!
oved away like myself,  and others have joined Harry with our LORD.
I am very blessed to have access to the web and that you have your own little corner that will light the way for many others on the web as you do there in Fairwinds to the masses.  This little light of mine, I'm gonna let it shine.  This little light of mine, I'm gonna let it shine, let it shine, let it shine, let it shine.
So let the light of the Lord so shine in your life, so that others may see God's love for themselves.

I grew up going to Fairwinds both church and school and remember many pastors and missionaries who visited the church and one that I was very touched by. I sat and listened to the sermon and by the end of the night I became saved. Harold and Jeannie Nobel had given me hope and touched my life that night, I bought their musical tape and played it until it couldn't be played anymore. Since then, my relationship with god has not been as solid as I would like it to be. I pray everyday and go to church but it's not enough. I would like to know if anyone can tell me where I might be able to find some of the Noble's music? It would really mean alot if someone can help me. Thank you and GOD BLESS!

i attended the winter camp in Feb. it was the best we had alot of fun. I was brought to the church by a friend that attends fairwinds, my first thought was that it was stupid for me 2 even come and then i was like this church isn't like all the other churchs that i have attended in the past. the youth group is really involed in the church. i enjoy comeing to tis church every sunday. i enjoy rideing the church bus 2 church every sunday. if it wasnt for the bus i wouldn't have a ride to church every sunday. while im here i would like to ask that the people of teh church pray for my mom cause she doesn't really like the fact that i go to church every sunday she thinks that i should spend my sundays sleeping in so just pray that she allows me 2 cont. comeing 2 church.

You know its funny how life comes full circle. I've found the Lord takes us all down different paths in our lives; sometimes ones we would never expect and boy has He taken me down a lot of different paths. I guess what has made me land here this chilly Saturday morning is a dream about my old life when I attended Fairwinds Christian School coupled with my desire to renew my relationship with Christ. My hope today is that someone from my old class or the classes below me see my entry and gets ahold of me. I would love to hear from old friends. It would be nice to connect and share lifes stories. Just to bring everyone up to date. I currently live in Lexington, Kentucky (soon to be moving to Cynthiana, Kentucky in a few days). I have a wonderful fiance' and soon to be step daughter. I really believe God has sent them to me to realize the most important things in life. To think...me...a mommy.....SCARY! However, the impact of being responsible for this little life has been short of amazing. In fact, it has brought me back to wanting a relationship with God. I can remember one day her saying, "can we go to church on sunday, I need to celebrate God," that made me realize the importance of "celebrating" our Lord. Even now as I write this to you, I get choked up at how a little 8 year old girl made me realize how astray I've become and how much happier I was when I was in the center of God's Will. Don't get me wrong, I have my good days and my bad ones. I think the hardest part is learning to put your life in His hands and trust Him. I'm a control freak so that is extra difficult but its getting easier as I see the work He is doing in my life. Speaking of work, I now am the head of Technical Support for a small Point of Sale software company. I work from home which is wonderful at times. Nothing like working in your PJ's! Anyway, I will close for now but if anyone sees this and wants to contact me, please feel free to do so. I would love to hear from anyone! In Christ, Candie Kirby

I am a very troubled person. I live in an African country where there are no honest jobs. I make a living by swindling people via email. My conscience is troubled because I am a God-fearing person. Please help me out by praying for me and by sending me some good Christian advice about how to change my life. Thank you!!!!!!

I just wanted to thank all the Staff at Fairwinds for your hard work and dedication. I am a graduate of Fairwinds Christian School and a Former member of your church. Your school and church helped me to build a stronger relationship with the Lord and to be able to have a better knowledge of His Word. My former name was Tonya Smith. I am now a graduate of Trinity Baptist College and my husband is graduating this May with his Music Pastor degree. We are anxious to begin our lives in the ministry and to see how the Lord works through our lives. May the Lord continue to bless your wonderful ministry at Farwinds Baptist. I will continue to pray for all the staff and memberst of Fairwinds Baptist Church and School. Once again I want to say thanks. In Christ, Tonya Siekbert Ps.27:1

I enjoy listening to your Sunday evening telecast over wgcb. My mother, now in a nursing home, listened and watched every sunday night when she lived independently in her apartment. I am senior pastor of First United Methodist in Hershey, Penna. I will retire 6/15 at the age of 62. The church I grew up in and served for 39 years is no longer the church it once was. When I began my ministry, the first question a new family would ask, is, what will the church expect of me? Today the first question is, what does the church have to offer me? My response is Christ, a cross, and a call to discipleship. They don't like that answer. Thanks for your sunday night inspiration. in Christ, Charles Keller

MY NAME IS VINOD P. PATEL AND I ATTENDED FAIRWINDS CHRISTIAN SCHOOL FROM 1978-1984. SOME MAY REMEMBER ME, SOME MAY HAVE HEARD OF ME. TODAY I SHARE WITH YOU THE IMPACT THE CHURCH, SCHOOL,AND STAFF HAD ON MY LIFE.

DURING MY SCHOOL TIME AT FAIRWINDS OUR FAMILY LIFE WAS DIFFICULT. MY MOTHER WAS SICK ALL THE TIME AND SPEND MOST OF HER YEARS IN INDIA. SHE ONLY VISITED FOR 3 WEEKS AND HAD TO GO BACK. MY FATHER SPEND MOST OF THE TIME IN PENNSYLVANIA DUE TO HIS JOB. MY BROTHER AND I LIVED WITH MY COUSINS AND ATTENDED FAIRWINDS. OUR FAMILY WAS TORN APART. MANY DAYS I FELT SAD WHEN I SAW OTHER CHILDREN WITH THEIR PARENTS.

THEN CAME ALONG THE STAFF AT FAIRWINDS. WHEN I REFLECT ON MY LIFE, IT IS VERY CLEAR THAT THE EDUCATION, LOVE, AFFECTION, AND THE DIRECTION TO THE LORD THAT I RECEIVED FROM FAIRWINDS CHRISTIAN SCHOOL HAD CHANGED MY LIFE. IN A WORLD WHERE LIES AND DISHONESTY WAS EVERYWHERE. THE TEACHERS TAUGHT ME TRUTHFULNESS AND RESPECT.IN A WORLD WHERE THE DEVIL SAT ON EVERY CORNER. MR. DESTEFANO TAUGHT ME TO TRUST THE LORD. AS I GREW EACH DAY I TRUSTED THE LORD MORE AND MORE. I CAME TO REALIZE WHEN I WAS LONELY THAT THE LORD WAS WITH ME. I CAME TO REALIZE WHEN I WAS SAD THAT THE LORD SAT IN MY HEART. I CAME TO REALIZE WHEN ALL HOPE WAS LOST THE LORD SHINED AND REMINDED ME OF ALL THE MIRCLES HE HAD DONE BEFORE. EACH DAY I GREW CLOSER AND CLOSER TO MY GOD. I AM TRULY THANKFUL TO THE GOOD LORD FOR GUIDING ME TO FAIRWINDS CHRISTIAN SCHOOL. THE SCHOOL AND STAFF THAT CHANGED ONE PERSONS LIFE.

AFTER GRADUATING FROM FAIRWINDS I ATTENDED PENN STATE UNIVERSITY AND GRADUATED WITH A B.S. IN CIVIL ENGINEERING AND A MASTERS IN ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION. THEN WORKED FOR THE STATE GOVERNMENT FOR 5 YEARS AND NOW CURRENTLY IN THE HOSPITALITY BUSINESS. I AM MARRIED WITH 2 WONDERFUL CHILDREN.

AFTER 18 YEARS ALL OF YOU AT FAIRWINDS ARE STILL IN MY HEART AND IN MY PRAYERS. MAY THE GOOD LORD CONTINUE TO WATCH OVER AND PROTECT EACH OF YOU AND GIVE YOU THE STRENGTH TO CONTINUE HIS WONDERFUL WORK. FOR I SAY TO YOU THAT IF ONE AND ONLY ONE SOUL HAS TURNED TO THE LORD THEN YOUR EFFORTS HAVE BEEN WORTH IT ALL!!!!!!!!

    GOD BLESS, VINOD P. PATEL
